Behind the Scenes Part II: The Temp Space Is Ready!

Guess What! We’re now in our second temp space!!! (3550 West 7th “Suite A”)  Yes, I know…I just heard your thoughts “Wait, so you moved again?!”  Let’s just leave it at it’s complicated because of deadlines, lease dates, etc.  The simple answer: Yes.  But, this was always the plan.

We started working on this portion of our permanent space about a month ago.  First, we got new AC units for both sides of the building.  Then we had to demo everything.  After that the focus totally went into creating the temp space in a matter of 1 week!  If you walked into our temp space 3 days before we were supposed to move in…you would have said “there’s no way this is going to be ready for you to move in”  But it was!!  To give you an idea…I’ve decided to share some dated pictures.

September 16, 2011 - Demo Starts!

September 16, 2011 - One big space to demo out!

September 29, 2011 - We're supposed to be moving into designated temp space in TWO days!!!

September 30, 2011 - A Midday Shot (less than 6 hours to complete!)

September 30, 2011 - It's ready for us by 7pm. Whew, that was close!

Note: My dad and I spent our Sunday (Oct 2nd) putting up those boards for the glasses.

Adair Eyewear - Moved in and Settled (at least until the other side is complete)

So, we’re here.  Our home might not be ready…but at least we’re in it.  I think of it this way – Life is full of the unexpected, the straight and narrow, the good, the bad and the downright ugly – but in the end it is still a very beautiful masterpiece…it’s just depends on how you look at it.  So keep living, give, and be happy…it just doesn’t make sense to do things any other way.

Thank you so much for your support and patience!
